Debates and Football

I am so excited for this election. Not just because I am not thrilled with George W. Bush, but because for the first time in my life politicians are reaching so many people, stirring so many on such a base level, giving hope to so many. Maybe this is how my mother felt about Kennedy, more that than the world was then as it is now in the midst of radical change. My political leanings are very liberal (GO OBAMA)...admittedly. However for the first time in my adulthood, I feel like neither candidate would be a disaster for us. McCain while not my favorite does have good points.

So last night I was giddy with excitement for the debate. In school I loved to debate, hell I still love to debate, but this was the first time in my life I was giddy over a presidential debate. I went to my best friends house to watch. She said she "watches debates like football". She does, it rocked. Someone else who loves that. Mental Sparing rocks. Eliminating antipathy rocks. I am so excited to see so many people previously so apathetic so excited about politics. Politics and Law have always jazzed me writing bills, making changes for the better, learning, bettering things...it is like crack (but not illegal).

Hi There,

This virtual world is so weird sometimes. Just because we are in the same network on Facebook (Chicago) it shows that you just joined Facebook and says I might know you. (I don't) So, I click on the link and lo, and behold, I see that you have a blog. I click again. I see that you consider yourself liberal and love to debate. Wow! I consider myself conservative and love to debate. So I'm thinking, why not? I just started my own blog about a month ago and I'm trying to get people to go to it, so now I'm leaving comments on total stranger's blogs inviting them to my own. I love a healthy debate and would love to debate some folks who hold different opinions than mine. If you (or anyone you know, for that matter :-)) are interested, feel free to drop on by blog, Turning Right. It's at www.stewturningright.blogspot.com.

Feel free to ignore this if it's just too weird for you.

Sincerely,
Stew
