Pixie's Birthday

Sunday, November 1, 2015

Meg turned 6 the other day.

I celebrated it with her in the same hospital she came into the world in--- but for different reasons, I had a kidney infection.

My silly kidney did not stop us from having a party though, we had pizza, cake, and ice cream to mark the beginning of Pixie's 6th year.

I can't believe that she is 6.  Meg is joyful, impish, compassionate, welcoming, loving, goofy, smart, silly, and an amazing kid.  I am so thankful to be her mom and to have the privilege of watching her grow.

And she sure has grown!!! From a little 3 lb baby to a big girl now.....

Home at last

6 years old-- at the same hospital she arrived in.

Meghan loves her chickens, she cares for them and checks on them all the time.  She can calm them down and they let her pet them.  She loves her friends and enjoys playing with them and giving them things. She is clever figuring things out are a specialties.  I can't wait to see how grows up.

Henry Is 2

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Henry just turned 2.

He is my little man.  He still breastfeeds and sleeps in bed with me.

I can't put into words his personality. He is unique and hysterical.  He has a great sense of humor and is caring and loving.

If I was thinking this afternoon I would have gotten a video of him singing "Let it Go" from Frozen.  He can't pronounce all the words but he has the melody and it is so cute- not that I am biased or anything.

He loves to build with blocks and legos and gets really upset if he feels left out in any way and has a sense of justice and fairness.

SUPER HENRY!

I hope we can plan a great party to celebrate how awesome he is.  Our family would not have been complete without him.

Birthday Do-Over

Monday, February 13, 2012

Yesterday, Peas turned 4. 4 years that have gone by in a blink of an eye or have crawled by depending on the day- heck depending on the moment.

Sadly, yesterday was not the joyful occasion that a birthday should be. Peas was sick. She was sacked out and felt yucky.

There should be some sort of rule about being sick on your birthday, it is just wrong.

So she gets a birthday do-over.

I cannot believe that she is the same little 3 pound little bundle of baby that entered the world on her own terms in her own time and made her own rules. She has done everything on her terms since she was born.

What a four years it has been! Peas has taught me about being patient and understanding. It has taught me about different needs and personalities.
